As a result of the buzz from my debut single and my music video , I've had the opportunity to play more shows! But with the addition of more shows, there are more miles, which means my band and I need a good form of transportation. Seeing as we are not quite at tour bus level, we have to improvise. I drive a 2007 Altima, and I love it, I just can't fit 4 people and instruments! It just so happened that my drummer/boyfriend's car recently gave out, so it was time for him to get a new one. When he was looking for cars, I strongly urged him to find something that could fit all our bodies and stuff! Now, I imagine that a young man in his 20's envisions himself driving a really fast convertible or a manly pick-up truck. What he doesn't envision, is a rational vehicle that fits a keyboard, drumset, 2 guitars, viola, amps, and overnight bags. Like this one (which is the first car we looked at!): Billy (my drummer/boyfriend) wasn't so keen on the look of the Ford Connect (although I thought it was awesome!) But, he thought it was better than what some of his musician friends drive, which is this: Or this. So we kept looking at more vehicles. At one point, we even went to my house to pick up our instruments and brought them to the car dealership to make sure we could fit it all in the car! I'm not sure if that's been done before...but we had to make sure. In the end, I think we found the best car for our needs, price, and gas mileage, and we couldn't be happier about rolling up to our next gig in this bad boy! I'm not gonna lie...I may have already named the car (Delta Mama) and have already written a song about it. So, if you would like to hear the song about my car, or if you just want to take a look at this magical vehicle, check out my website for info about my tour dates. I'll see you on the road!
